What thermal imaging adds to an electrical test
A thermal imaging camera shows temperature differences across electrical equipment while it is carrying load. A hot connection, an overloaded circuit or a failing component often runs warmer than its neighbours before it fails, so it can be seen without opening anything up beyond the normal access panels.
We offer thermal imaging alongside a commercial EICR or fixed wire test for factories, industrial units, warehouses, workshops, offices, shops and managed buildings across Cardiff and South Wales. It is an add-on, quoted with your testing. If you only want thermal imaging, tell us what you need and we will say whether we can help.
Thermal imaging does not replace inspection and testing to BS 7671. An EICR or fixed wire test checks the installation against the standard; thermal imaging adds a view of how it behaves under load. The two together give a fuller picture for planned maintenance and a more complete report.
